I’ve known Günter Tallner for about 20 years; we’ve worked closely together for many of those.

We met each other for the first time around 20 years ago.

Günter Tallner had heard about my many years of work at the Philosophisch-Theologische Hochschule Sankt Georgen (St George’s College of Philosophy and Theology) in Frankfurt, was also a bit of an outsider and one day came to visit me there.

Even as his hand was still on the door handle, I had the sense of a “dyed in the wool” humanity that can’t be taught.

It seemed like he’d found the “you-have-to-like-people” principle – only after that can you say something, regardless of who you’re talking to or with. And as an extra topping: first comes the smile and then the word.

At the time Günter Tallner visited me, the jurist had long been climbing the management ladder. We worked intensively together all this time and since then have always kept in close touch.

Having reached the upper echelons, Günter Tallner has now turned the tables:

I’ve known Günter Tallner for many years from working closely together.
